I was testing various volume-preserving deformer methods in Houdini and thought some of the results looked interesting on their own—even more so with eyes added. Everything looks more interesting with eyes. I took a photo and an HDRI dome in my kitchen and submitted this to Pictoplasma's Staredown contest in 2018. It didn't receive any awards, but it was a fun little project nevertheless.
